Ardor (ARDR)
Ardor is a platform. This blockchain platform is scalable, and intended to be used for various entities to create child chains with their own token for their own private (or public) blockchain needs. These child chains will be powered and secured by the Ardor main chain, and will be able to access features such as shuffling, asset creation and trading, aliasing, and phasing.
Mining/Staking
Anyone holding over 1000 coins in their wallet is able to forge, which will increase their asset base over time. The process is simple: Ensure that your wallet holds over 1000 coins for at least 24 hours (or even better for security, lease your coins from a separate offline cold storage wallet that you own), and press the button in the wallet that says "start forging."

No information is currently available about the Ardor development team.
Criticisms, Caveats, and Competitors
Ardor is based on NXT technology. This confuses some people. NXT is run independently from Ardor.
