Golem (GNT)
The Golem Network aims to provide distributed computing services to users around the globe. When a user needs a complex computer job to be processed, for example a CGI rendering of animation media, the job can be shared over the Golem network among multiple machines, allowing that job to be processed much faster and more efficiently than by paying for a commercial render farm to complete the job. Additional future network processing possibilities will include machine learning (AI), business analytics, and scientific data processing.
Mining/Staking
The Golem token is currently an ERC20 token built upon the Ethereum platform.
Development Team
Golem has a large and diverse development and advisory team, focusing more upon developers than advisors and marketers. This is a fairly technical project, and one that can have some interesting real-world utility if they can make it work.
Criticisms, Caveats, and Competitors
The project is not live yet, although the first Brass Golem release is expected to become available sometime in the first half of 2018.
