Komodo (KMD)
The Komodo platform focuses on providing complete end-to-end blockchain solutions for developers of any level and any industry. It intends to be a simple interface, offering customized blockchain solutions that are easy to deploy, and configurable to meet the needs of various end users. The platform also offers optional privacy protection through the integration of Zero-Knowledge Proofs. The Komodo coin is an infrastructure coin which is required to power many features on the platform. Komodo will be used as a gateway coin to other tokens within Komodo's decentralized exchange.
Mining/Staking
Komodo features a DPoW (delayed proof-of-work) consensus algorithm, which provides a security layer that creates backups of your blockchain's data and notarizes it to Bitcoin's blockchain. The platform also offers optional privacy protection through the integration of Zero-Knowledge Proofs.

Criticisms, Caveats, and Competitors
The ability to create simple push-button blockchains is an ambitious goal. Currently, Komodo's biggest competitor is probably Ark, with Lisk as a runner-up.
