Request Network (REQ)
The Request Network allows anyone to request a payment from someone else. The request can be detected and paid in a secure way, without the need to involve a third party. The request is saved on an immutable, authentic ledger, which acts as a unique source of truth for accounting and auditing processes. The Request Network will work with every global currency.
Mining/Staking
The REQ token is currently set up as an ERC-20 built on the Ethereum platform. Beyond that, we don't have any information about consensus mechanisms for the tokens.
Development Team
Request has a mid-sized development team, featured on the main page of the official website. The profiles include working LinkedIn links and other information.
Criticisms, Caveats, and Competitors
The project is not fully operational yet, and may not be until late 2018, although some parts of the project will be rolling out for public adoption earlier in 2018.
